ANNEL GOMEZ COUNSELING
About Me
Annel Gomez, LMHC

As a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I bring extensive experience working with diverse populations, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. This background has given me the privilege of working with individuals whose experiences span across a wide range of races, ethnicities, ages, genders, and sexualities. I specialize in supporting young professionals who are navigating complex life transitions, family dynamics, and the demands of their careers, all while striving to define and embrace their own sense of purpose, fulfillment, and belonging. Many of my clients seek relief from the competing tensions between family obligation, professional success, and personal authenticity in our fast-paced, ever-evolving world.

My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, where I focus on helping you gain insight into your social and behavioral patterns while developing tools to increase feelings of empowerment. Through our work together, we will aim to reduce negative emotions such as shame, anxiety, guilt, and self-doubt, and explore how culture, society, and personal history shape your understanding of your identity.

Life can feel like a constant dance of adaptation, negotiation, and self-discovery, but I am committed to creating a collaborative and non-judgmental space where we can work together to build practical strategies for positive change and resilience. Whether you’re looking to set healthy boundaries, manage stress, process past experiences, or simply find more balance in your life, I am here to support you.
